The training was held in the training centre Zentrum für Sicherheit und Ausbildung in Bad Tölz, Germany, under the leadership of Bergwacht Bayern instructors .
Ivana Sikulová tells:
“The day started with a presentation about navigation, security and safety rules within the helicopter rescue operations. We also got instructed in the signs and rules of communication of the rescue team. After introduction we enjoyed the practical training. We trained winching from different types of terrain and later we trained assisted evacuation of an injured person.
Concurrently we participated in training of the rope techniques and rescue from a climbing wall under the leadership of two Czech instructors: Martin Riedl, consultant for works and rescue in heights, and Jan Hájek, instructor of DSA air rescue company.
All of the 16 participants fully enjoyed the day and were happy to get a lot of new impressions and skills.”
Our acknowledgements to the instructors from Bergwacht Bayern: Karl Strehler, Michael Schweiger and Benedikt Schmölz.
